Introduction to Wine

Learn the art of wine tasting, assessing and identifying styles of wine. We will go over wine fundamentals and wines found in our market place. We will begin with a reception wine to get the evening off to a good start. We then will be seated and I will taste and discuss the group through three whites and three reds. Food and wine pairings will be covered as well. The intent is to have a casual but informative experience where you should walk away with an excellent understanding of wines we have tried.

The wines chosen will be imaginative high quality choices found in our local wine boutique, Baseline Wines. www.baselinewine.com

Wines chosen will be:

Sparkling wine for reception

Sauvignon Blanc

Riesling

Chardonnay

Merlot

Cabernet Sauvignon

Malbec or Shiraz.

Fees

$40.00 per person with a ten person minimum. Fees include the services of an ISG Certified Sommelier, stemware, all of the wine, ice, icebuckets, tasting sheets and bread (for cleansing the palate).

For events of ten or more the host attends for free (the host being the 11th person).
